Greetings Fellow Blue Knights,

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and ask for your SUPPORT and VOTE in this years election.

My name is D.J. Alvarez from TX XXXI and currently serving my second term as President of TX XXXI and also serve as the Rio Grande Conference (RGC) International Representative. I am also a candidate for the position of INTERNATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT of the Blue Knights.

The two main roles of a Vice President whether at the International, Conference or Chapter level are to (1) to serve as President in the event of his absence or disability to perform the duties, possess and exercise the powers of the President and (2) to assist the Club, Conference and Chapters with recruitment and retention of new and current members.

As the strong candidate in both of these areas I’ve effectively proven and demonstrated my leadership skills at the International, Conference and Chapter levels.  I have also been instrumental in the implementation of several new chapters within the RGC Conference; which to this date is the fastest growing conference in the club.  Enthusiasm, drive, tenacity and motivation are the critical success factors I’ve embraced with my accepted responsibilities.

With your VOTE of confidence my goal is to …

• Represent all Blue Knights equally and without reservation

• Develop open lines of communication to unify our organization

• Implement effective recruitment and retention strategies

• Improve membership benefits on a global perspective

• Create progressive community initiatives supporting the communities we live in and serve
